This is why one should stay away from the typical fast food chains, which don't provide you with the right sort of nutrients and minerals. A lot of people may be eyeing the ready made meals that supermarkets provide. However, these don't always provide all the goodness.

Things like granola with more nuts and fruit is good. A basic fruit salad, roughly chopped up is great. However, make sure you don't serve too much sugar.

Think about your health as well, because it is not a good idea to have carbohydrates for lunch and the same thing for your dinner. You need a little change, otherwise you are not only going to put on weight, you will also find that this is going to lead to things like diabetes and generally bad health over a period of time.

It is also nice to add variety to your menu. Nobody wants to eat lasagna three days in a row. This is why you have to cook a couple of dishes in advance. The next time you cook, think of different items that your family may enjoy. There are a lot of ideas on social media.
