By Pamela Bailey

The modern world has is wrapped in complicated web of activities. People move about doing various jobs to make some money to put bread on the table. Getting to workplaces requires a person to travel form abode to office. They often use a car to do this. It is bought as a new product and after using it for years, the yard of scrap is the best place to junk a car.

It has been plying the road during the start of industrial revolution. Prior to its invention people move from place to place by walking or harnessing animals of every kind. Oxen and horses were common in the early days. Eventually boxes were attached to them to carry load including humans. The invention of the wheel made it easier for the box to move. This gave birth to carts and soon this was improved into carriages. When man built the first steam engine, it was hooked to carts.

The steam engine started the revolution of automobiles. This was further improved with the building of the internal combustion engine. At the start wheels for the machine were coated with hard rubber. Then manufacture of pneumatic tires gave it a smoother and good ride. Making these products is a big business today.

A plethora of components make up a car. Motion is achieved by way of an engine. Wheels that are attached to it touch the road surface and can move it to and fro. It boasts of a system that conveys the power from engine to wheel. Powertrain or drive term is the term for this system. This houses the gear, the differential, and the shifter.

Another important piece is the battery which gives the machine electricity. Gadgets that run on this are numerous inside the vehicle and outside. Spark plugs use this to fire up the engine. Lights are installed for illumination. Contemporary models have aeration systems put in.

Many brands are manufactured by many companies and many subcontractors also help with the production. They come out in different models and types. They also come in different prices. There are some kinds made for the rich and others are targeted for the poor. People the world over use this contraption. Almost all countries have this industry and the fastest growing at that.

Many establishments make this product. Several brands from all over the world compete with each other. This makes it difficult for a buyer to choose. Making use of the internet is a great help in making comparisons. Showrooms are also a good place to visit to see the product.

This contraption is built with many elements and runs on petrol. The process of converting crude to gasoline and diesel made this possible. Adverse effects resulted from the exhaust of this internally burned gas that gave rise to air pollution. Programs are now made by governments to ease the use of fossil fuel in order to conserve it. Environment protection is a prime consideration among governments in the world.

Automobiles are mostly made of sheet metal. With the passing of time this become rusty and brittle but fortunately it can also be recycled. Old and unusable cars are discarded by owners who prefer something new or sometimes they are sold to other. Junkyards also buy these to remake them or to recycle them. Current technology has elevated this machine with the use of graphite and carbon fiber. Nobody needs steel junk.
