Such substances may include mold, dust, old paint, graffiti, and dirt. Removal of these substances is done through abrasive sandblasting.

The intermediate coat comes second after the primer to build thickness and prevent permeability of surfaces. One of the main components of this coat is general epoxy polyamide. The top layer serves the aesthetic function more than the rest. It also offers chemical resistance to the surface.
