Return Of Alfa Romeo US Sales Is Serious, Really

By Cornelius Nunev

Alfa Romeo is very severe about going back to the United States sometime soon, with the stunning 4C roadster leading the charge. Given, any mention of the return of Alfa Romeo U.S., naturally, has to be taken with a big old pile of salt.

US coping with 4C sports car

Fiat's luxury brand that fits between the high luxury brand and low luxury brand is Alfa Romeo. It may make a return pretty soon. Fiat has been promising the return for a while now.

Fiat has promised the return of Alfa to the U.S. despite the belief that it has not been sold here in a really long time. It was initially supposed to start in 2013, then 2014, and then 2013 again.

A two-seater sports car called the Alfa Romeo 4C will be making its way back to the United States as the first Alfa Romeo sale, according to NBC News. It is supposed to hit dealerships later this year, according to Star Phoenix.

Most do not care

Most people who use an auto loan rates calculator recognize that they cannot really afford the price of the 4C that will cost between $75,000 and $100,000. That means that hardly any person will actually be getting the automobile. A lot of people do not even care that Alfa Romeo is coming back.

Since the cabin is made mainly of carbon fiber, there will only be 2,500 of the automobile produced each year, according to the Star-Phoenix.

Alfa has been gone from the States since 1995, and it did not sell a lot even when it was here. In 1986, it sold 8,201 vehicles, but that was the most it ever sold in a year. According to Car and Driver, it may never show up anyway considering promises never come through lately.

Since they pulled out, they sold a few 8C Competizione roadsters in 2008, but that is the only movement that has been seen in the country. In fact, Alfa has promised a return yearly since 2000, though they seem a bit more severe this time.

People do not care

The press seems to be making a big deal over "Alfa Romeo United States," and some might wonder why that is. Ultimately, it's just another luxury brand; so what if it's Italian and has a "wop engine," as Fiat boss Sergio Marchionne put it? Hardly any person bought them when they were sold here and they were notoriously unreliable.

The people who do purchase an Alfa will only be doing it because it is ridiculously beautiful. A concept car called the Gloria will be shown off at some auto shows later this year, according to Automobile Magazine, but it is expected to be really beautiful. If the 4C and 8C is any indicator, it will look really good.
