Synthetics Or Recycled Re-Refined Motor Oils Which Is Better Value

By James Bezan

Changing of car oil is one of the responsibilities that a driver must do in order for his car to function well. Can you imagine yourself as a car without any maintenance at all? Can you survive with dirt and mud around your body? Can you function if your oil has black solid particle stuff and slimy dark substances from the outside world? Isn't that bad to experience all of these things? In comparison to people, cars and any vehicle should also have daily maintenance such as car wash, vacuums on the inside part and tune-ups. Moreover, they also need a regular change of oil along with oil filter to function well.

The first step that you need to do is to open the new bottle of your car oil. Always check if it is appropriate to your car, check the packaging date and the seal. Do not continue the next step once you have detected some doubtful information during your initial assessment. However, proceed to the second step which is moistening the gasket on the top of your new oil filter if everything is good. It is very essential to follow the instructions on the filter such as proper turning and the need of wrench. If the manufacturer doesn't recommend the use of wrench, you may proceed to the third step. Reach under the car with your work light and rags and wipe the area around the place where the old drains came out.

When you have decided to change your oil and oil filter with a new one, do you know where on earth would you place your old car oil? Are you going to put this dirty stuff at your garage or leave it as it is? Are you going to reserve and reuse this as replacement for your current oil and vice verso? Are you planning to throw this away because you consider it as a junk? Actually, your decision is the most important thing to think of. As a good civilian of your country or an Eco-friendly car owner, what will be you decision?

Replace the oil filler cap and turn on your engine for 30-60 seconds as your seventh step. Check for leaks from the oil drain plug and new oil filter. Your next step involves proper assessments such as checking your oil pressure light on the dashboard and making sure that it should go out in 10-15 seconds. If the light doesn't change or go out, check the leaks under your car. Essentially, running the engine will provide oil circulation into the new oil filter so you need to make sure that your filter is full to get an accurate assessment such as reading on the oil dipstick.

Shut off your engine and wait for five to ten minutes for the oil to settle into the oil pan Check the level of your oil through the use of dipstick. Always add oil into the oil filter until your dashboard signals a FULL line. Remove the drain pan under your car and drive for few times. Recheck and assess again using your dashboard indicator. You can contact some automotive stores to sell your used oil or surrender it to the nearest toxic waste disposal center.
