Tips On How To Use A Motorcycle Visor Cleaner

By Bonnie Contreras

A bike ride is very risky and a steady and solid piece of helmet will be helpful to keep you safe. There are people who prefer saving money and using the cleaning materials found at home because it gives off the same amount of work. Looking for the safe brand of motorcycle visor cleaner is painless considering the rise of products available in the groceries.

Check on your skills first before deciding to jump and clean the visor. A professional help may be needed which is offered by car shops and is a less stressful thing to do. Whatever you may decide on, just make sure that the helmet is scrubbed at once every week.

Looks can be very deceiving. It is not an easy task to do as how it looks on the television. The method includes undressing the small parts of the helmet and producing the perfect materials for cleaning. Do not use old materials found in the garage especially if it is dirty because this will defeat the purpose of washing the gear. The visor serves as a protective gear during the ride so it is best to clean the most important safety device.

Another step in the course would be the collection of the supplies useful for the washing. Readily made packs with soft cloth or sponges and a visor wash are available everywhere. If you have secured one, surely all the other equipment are found around your home. Make sure the sponge is not harmful to the screen that can scratch or scrape it.

Some cotton buds and old brush may also be needed during the process. Grab on to the materials and look for an open space outside to start the work. It would be best to do this when the sun is up because it speeds up drying the insides of the shield. Place the materials in a sturdy table or counter so everything will be within arms reach.

Before going down and rough in the washing process, wash your hands first. Check if the sponge you will be using is without dirt and smooth to use over the helmet. A rough piece of cloth may tear down the paint in the shield. A photo of the parts will be useful when attaching the parts back together.

When everything is ready, hold down the parts of the shield. Lay the parts bare including the screws and settle them in the order of how they were removed. Strip the helmet pads inside and the linings as well. Soak them in warm water over a visor disinfectant.

Clear the screen by using the free sponge or any soft clean cloth. Try to remove any clinging dirt stuck to the screen with your hands. Use an anti fog cleaner once the glass is dry. Pick up the old tooth brush and reach for the narrow spaces in between. Polish the helmet shell with the cloth.

Wax it with grease and attach the parts by checking if it is in the right order with how the photos show before you dismantled it. Fasten and screw the parts and slick the whole shield with a coat of polish. Do not waste what is left of the motorcycle visor cleaner.
